Enhance your home with new rugs from Louis de Poortere
Enhance your home with the new Eco rug from Louis de Poortere
Heugah Interiors exists to connect people with a huge range of rug designers, ensuring
they can browse everything from modern Scandinavian brands to designs inspired by
some of Britain’s best-loved textile and fashion designers. Whether someone lives in a
sleek new build apartment, a turn of the century townhouse or cottage that’s several
hundreds of years old, everyone will find rugs, mats and runners that suit their interior
style, and help make their house a home.
One of our most enduringly popular brands is Louis de Poortere, with their collection
offering something for everyone. There are bold colours, contemporary patterns and
designs inspired by classic carpets. Louis de Poortere rugs are low pile, which means
they can be placed under tables, sofas, desks and beds. For our customers who love
‘zoning’ their interiors using rugs and mats, drawing the eye to a seating area or
marking out a home office with a rug, this is a huge plus!
The new Louis de Poortere Collection 24
Our eagle-eyed followers will have noticed that earlier this year we had a huge sale
across the Louis de Poortere range. That was because the team behind this beloved
rug brand was clearing space for an exciting new range, Collection 2024. This new
collection combines Louis de Poortere’s commitment to creating rugs that offer its
customers beauty, elegance, comfort and value for their homes with a clear focus on
sustainability. Louis de Poortere has placed the environment front and centre of their
manufacturing process, which means that you can enjoy your home decoration knowing
you’ve also made a commitment to a better future.
A commitment to sustainability
Historically, Louis de Poortere rugs were crafted from natural cotton, and at first glance,
that might seem like a sound decision when it comes to sustainable material choices.
Surely natural materials are better than man-made alternatives…? Well, there are
challenges in growing cotton in a sustainable way, and the way rugs are constructed
meant that the cotton couldn’t be separated from the tough backing easily for recycling.
The whole rug would need to go to landfill.
Now, every part of a Louis de Poortere rug is made from polyester that not only lasts
longer than cotton but can be recycled at the end of its life. This makes it a circular product and ensures customers can enjoy their rug for many years to come without
needing to replace it! Louis de Poortere has called their new designs EcoRugs, and
they look and feel just as luxurious as anything the brand has released before.
Highlights from the new Louis de Poortere range
We’re thrilled to be able to share the new Louis de Poortere Eco Rug with you, and
hope that you love the huge range of different designs as much as we do. Here are
three of our favourite designs to kick off your journey exploring the Louis de Poortere
collection:
The Himalayas
We just adore this four-rug micro collection, all inspired by the majestic peaks of the
Himalayas. Be transported to faraway lands with this unique collection that captures the
beauty of mountains, clouds and sunsets during the four seasons – spring, summer,
autumn and winter! We think autumn is our favourite…

The Cities
Louis de Poortere has cleverly taken aerial views of major cities, including London,
Tokyo, Paris and Amsterdam, and created abstract and eye-catching rug designs. The
result is a contemporary-style rug that will be a real talking point at your next dinner
party, with guests guessing which city they’re looking at and spotting their favourite
haunts.
