Woolable Bahari rug from Lorena Canals features seashells that are one of Lorena’s passions. And so, the cowrie shells she discovered sprinkled along the beaches of the East African coast during one of her travels inspired this rug.

Reminiscent of white sandy beaches, this beautiful and soft washable wool rug, in plain beige, takes its name from the Swahili word for ‘sea,’ ‘Bahari.’

The colorful hem in contrasting colored tufts is a hint to the Maasai people.

Each washable wool rug comes packed in a cotton tote bag that can be used for storage and includes a complimentary anti-slip underlay to fit under the rug and keep it in place.

Lorena Canals are a family business that monitors the whole manufacturing process. They select the best quality products and dye the rug with natural dyes only – toxic dyes, contaminants or chemical fixing for the colours are never used

Lorena Canals Rug Woolable Bahari is a handcrafted piece and a carefully designed product. Each piece is unique, which is why there may be small variations in colour and shape.

Wool rugs will shed some fibres when new and during use. This is not a defect, but a characteristic of the natural wool fibre used.

An environmentally friendly product. Free from toxic dyes or contaminants.

Washing Instructions

Check load limit before machine washing.
Wash separately at 30º, using a gentle cycle and a short program (max 30 min).
Use a neutral detergent. Make sure you use a low spin cycle if the rug has braids or fringes. Do not bleach. Avoid using softener.
Do not leave the wet rug in the washer, as colours may bleed.
Tumble dry at low temperature.
Do not dry clean.
